What Happens In Vegas, Stays In Vegas

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Wrong! I am ready to SPILL about what an amazing show the Silver Dollar Circuit is!

If you have never been to this show, you better put it on your list of shows to attend for next year. First off, I’d like to start by saying that I never left Southpoint Hotel Arena and Casino the entire 4 days that I was there. I didn’t even see daylight, for that matter. It seemed completely unnecessary considering everything is under one roof! And let me tell you about the competition…it is TOUGH! If you’re going to show here, you better bring your A-game. Premier Quarter Sires held multiple classes consisting of several exhibitors, and ultimately a check for the first prize winner. Tough competitors such as Kent Ray Taylor, Gil Galyean, Kaleena Weakly, Sandra Morgan, and Laina Banks took home some big wins and a lot of points! If there’s one thing I have come to realize though, it’s that none of this would be possible without the amazing sponsors and vendors that joined us at this show.

Vendors such as D-Designs, Show N Tell Saddle Blankets, and Kimes Ranch jeans all came to participate in the fun! I ended up going home with more clothes than I came with! Kimes Ranch Jeans put on their first ever “Hatty Hour” and also held a “Hop in your Horns” race. Both were a huge success! And not to mention the karaoke party and then the scavenger hunt that included a picture of the queen! All I can say, is it’s no wonder this show was named one of AQHA’s top 10 shows.

“The Best Horse Show Vacation of the Year”

I was so excited when I was invited to attend this unique show! I look forward to going back in the future as in exhibitor! A huge thank you to Ann, Lindsey, and staff for being so generous and kind and for putting on such an amazing show. It’s easy to see why you all were named one of AQHA’s best show management teams.

Girls Just Wanna Have Sun

12 total judges, 7 days of showing, 2 total shows, thousands of entries, and a blue heron in a palm treeeeee. That’s how that song goes, right? The Fun in the Sun show is a wrap!

Fox Lea Farm located in the beautiful Venice, Florida is a MUST SEE horse show facility. Multiple warm-up pens, minutes from some of the best beaches in the country, and did I mention, palm trees next to the arenas? From the 99% perfect weather to the “candy bar” and sponsor lunch, this show was amazing. Big names such as Kenny Lakins, Jamie English, and Keith Miller took home some big wins. Kathy Avolt and team with An Equine Production, put on another fabulous show with big numbers and competitive competition. The NSBA Crisis Fund took in over $2500 in donations over four classes, and vendors such as Kendals Western Hats, The Hitching Post, and All That Show Clothing, kept spectators lavished with stunning gear.

I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to visit this one-of-a-kind show, and will definitely be back next year as an exhibitor! A huge thank you to Tammy Schuster, Kathy Avolt, John Boxell, and many others for making me feel right at home.

Joyfully,
